Linda Vinchattle, LMFT
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Having worked in the mental health field for more than 20 years, Linda has had the privilege of walking alongside people through many different stages and seasons of life. Her experience includes working with individuals navigating trauma, abuse, addiction, health and lifestyle changes, and the lasting impact these experiences can have on how we relate to ourselves and others.
Over the years, Linda’s work has deepened her understanding of how trauma can shape our behaviors, relationships, bodies, and sense of safety. This has led to a particular focus on helping people heal from trauma and develop a greater sense of connection with themselves.
Linda became certified in EMDR in 2019 and continued her education in trauma-focused approaches. In 2023, she completed a 300-hour certification in Trauma Center, Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY). TCTSY is a body-based, trauma-sensitive practice designed to support embodiment and help people reconnect with their bodies in ways that emphasize choice, safety, and control.
Linda is specifically certified in TCTSY and is not a yoga instructor. She offers both individual and group TCTSY sessions through Intuitive Health and Performance, with classes available in person and virtually. More information is available at www.intuitivehp.com.
In therapy, Linda takes a trauma-informed approach grounded in the belief that people deserve choice and control, particularly when those things may have been taken from them through difficult or traumatic experiences. She draws primarily from CBT, EMDR, relational and strength-based approaches, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Linda also enjoys working with couples. She brings an IFS-informed perspective that helps couples move away from seeing one another as the “problem” and instead understand the patterns that develop as each person tries to feel safe, connected, and understood. Her goal is to help couples develop greater compassion for themselves and each other while creating new ways of relating.
Linda works with clients ages 16 and older. She may be a good fit for individuals or couples who are looking to better understand the impact of past experiences, work through trauma, reconnect with themselves, improve relationships, or develop new ways of responding to the challenges they face.
Like many of her clients, Linda balances the roles of professional, parent, and partner. She understands that life can be both rewarding and complicated, and she brings that perspective into her work. Outside of therapy, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being active and outdoors, and baking.
